Nobody Wants to Read Your Sh*t

Styled in the post title as it is on the book cover. Nobody wants to read your sh*t is a new book from Steven Pressfield, author of the War of Art.

The book is a fast-paced pseudo-biography chronicling Pressfield's life as he progressed from advertising copy writer to novelist, back to ad-writer, to a hollywood job, back to novels again, and later to non-fiction. It's full of tough love for writers, and all sorts of practical advice on the craft of writing.

I wish I could write as poignantly as Pressfield does. Every chapter in the book is short (most about one page), yet each chapter conveys a different useful lesson or anecdote. It's really fine work, and actually the inspiration for my goal of ~500 word (ish) posts on this blog.

As of July 3, 2016, Black Irish Books (the publisher) is letting folks download a copy of Nobody Wants to Read Your Shit for free, so follow that link up top and grab your copy now :)
