NaNovember - Day 9

Well today has been weird, but only for me I bet.

Yesterday I got to chat with my buddy Scott about writing, he is working on a new weird style offering for nanowrimo which is exciting. He is also a coffee shop writer as opposed to me: a couch, table at home writer so I went out into the world.

This weekend is NCComicCon in Durham. I am volunteering for it which is always fun. I love working on large events like that. If you are in the Durham/Raleigh/Chapel Hill area it is loads of fun. Lee Child, author of the Jack Reacher books, is a guest this year. Not sure of the comic tie in but still nice to see an event like that broadening to include some novelist.

Oh and it got COLD here. Which I guess helps feed into the mystique of a writer staying indoors during chilly months knocking out words on his/her vintage typewriter as a rime of frost forms on the inside of the window we stare out of.
