Day One
Once upon a time I had a blog. I wrote long articles two or three times a week, and practically killed myself trying to make the content as great as possible. I got invited to do some public speaking off that, which was kind of neat.
But the pace just about killed me. You know how hard it is to write quality long-form articles a couple times a week? Really damn hard.
Well.
It's been about seven years since I last blogged. I've changed careers once since then, changed hobbies three times or so. But in my thirties, certain things are stabilizing.
I love writing, I always have. I've missed it. I'm going to do more of it now.
This site isn't going to be like my old blog. I'm not going to kill myself trying to be original. I'm going to post short things. I plan to stay mostly away from hot topics that are nothing but troll-bait. I'm not even sure I'll allow comments.
Mostly I figure I'll post a couple hundred words a couple times a week. I think I'll write about things I'm learning, things I've recently figured out, or just things I think are neat. We'll see.
But we won't see today, because I'm getting past that word limit. Ration the content to little drips, that's the idea. I think.
We'll see next time if it sticks.
